Cielo named signatory supporting UN LGBTI Standards of Conduct for Business

MILWAUKEE, WI – Cielo has been named as a signatory supporting the UN Standards of Conduct for Business, which aims to prevent discrimination against LGBTI people. This step aligns with the company’s core values of equity, diversity, and inclusion, and its dedication to helping all talent shine.

The standards, developed as part of the Partnership for Global LGBTQI+ Equality, provide a comprehensive framework for businesses to uphold the rights of LGBTI individuals and promote a culture of respect and acceptance. By joining this global campaign, Cielo pledges to implement policies and practices that foster an inclusive workplace, provide equal opportunities for career advancement, and ensure non-discrimination in all aspects of employment.

"I am so excited to be a part of an organization that is making, not just an investment in EDI, but a real investment in people, by specifically taking the initiative,” said Megan Noonan, Cielo’s Director of Workforce Operations and its Pride & Allies Employee Network Group Chair. “I am proud to be a part of this organization and proud with the steps it has taken to continue the fight for equity and inclusion, not just within these 'walls' but outside of the organization as well."

Supporting these standards reaffirms Cielo’s commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all employees, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. This marks another milestone in Cielo’s journey to create a workplace where every person feels valued, respected and empowered.
